Sarah McKinnis is a respected advocate for the vulnerable and those searching for hope. It is her heart’s desire to tell others about the love of the Heavenly Father, and to share the freedom that can come from a life surrendered to Christ. As an overcomer of a broken background filled with drugs, alcohol, darkness, confusion and sin – she understands the need for grace and mercy. She knows true healing can only come from Jesus Christ. Sarah also knows that He pursues His daughters to heal them. It brings her true joy to see lives changed – which is the reason she said, “Yes” to WillowBend Farms. She considers it the highest honor to have real, authentic relationships with those who need the same healing and transformation she encountered.
Many have called her an Isaiah 61 priest because of the gift she has to encourage the brokenhearted. Isaiah 61:1-3 reads, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” According to Sarah, Isaiah 61 means that transformed, changed people are sent forth to help others change. She believes that with the same comfort she has received, she is to comfort others.
Sarah is a massage therapist and the owner of Whispering Willow Spa. She declares that God has blessed her abundantly with the opportunity to personally see His heart at work through the ministry at the Spa.
She regularly takes the stage for speaking engagements, and human trafficking awareness events around the world. She has been widely recognized for her book, “A Gift to God.”
Her husband Adam is also her best friend. Together in ministry they actively crusade for justice and humanitarian needs. They enjoy the farm life together with the animals they raise. If you need fresh eggs, Sarah is the one to see.
